The names over the years

  • Orlando Stadium, 1936 to 1946
  • Tangerine Bowl, 1947 to 1975
  • Citrus Bowl, 1976
  • Orlando Stadium again, 1977 to 1982
  • Florida Citrus Bowl, 1983 to 2013
  • Orlando Citrus Bowl, 2014 to 2016
  • Camping World Stadium, since 2016

A reconstruction in 2014 rebuilt about 90 percent of the stadium. The City of Orlando owns it and Orlando Venues runs it, and it seats about 60,000 for football, with room to expand past 65,000.

Stadium shows

Concerts here go back to the Florida World Music Festival in 1979, with Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and Cheap Trick on the bill. Pink Floyd played its only Orlando concert here in 1988. The Rolling Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney, Guns N' Roses and a joint Billy Joel and Elton John show followed, and Garth Brooks drew about 70,000 in 2022, a record for a concert at the stadium. Next door, the old Tinker Field grounds host festival weekends, EDC Orlando among them.

Parking and the shuttle

The stadium sits in the West Lakes neighborhood, ringed by numbered and lettered lots. Not every lot opens for every show, and Lot 10 is actually at Jones High School. Parking for the biggest concerts is sold ahead and often runs out.

For some events, a free shuttle runs from Central Boulevard downtown, between Garland and Hughey avenues, to Gate A at Church and Nashville streets. It runs until about an hour after the show, and your event guide will say whether it is on that night.

Driving in on I-4 eastbound, exit at Orange Blossom Trail and head north. Westbound, exit at Colonial Drive, go west, then turn south on Orange Blossom Trail.

Summer nights

This is an open stadium, so a June show means heat in the stands and a fair chance of an afternoon storm. A lightning warning can keep the gates shut for a while. Pack a poncho and check your ticket for the night's bag rules.

More big outdoor weekends are on the festivals calendar, arena tours play Kia Center to the east, and every area show is on the Orlando page.
