Built for the long night
Miami native Louis Puig opened Club Space in March 2000 in Park West, the stretch of downtown along NE 11th Street where the city lets venues pour around the clock. The whole place is built around that license. Weekend parties can run through the night and well into the next day, and the Terrace, the club's outdoor upper deck, is where Miami watches the sun come up with a DJ still playing. A retractable clear roof covers it when the weather turns.
Three rooms and a few owners
The building holds about 2,000 people across three rooms, the Terrace, the Ground and Floyd. Puig sold the club in 2013, and by late 2016 a group led by Coloma Kaboomsky, David Sinopoli and Davide Danese had taken control under the Link Miami Rebels name. Insomniac, the festival company, bought a stake in 2019. The club closed from May to October 2024 for a renovation tied to work on 11th Street.
Who plays here
House and techno are the core. Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Victor Calderone, Fisher, John Summit and Claptone have all played Space, and the club is a fixture of Miami Music Week, the run of parties built around Ultra each March. Its closing party that week runs 48 hours, Sunday to Tuesday. Browse more electronic shows around Florida.
Getting there
The Metromover's Eleventh Street station sits right over NE 11th Street, steps from the door, and E11even is across the street. Bayfront Park, where Ultra sets up around the FPL Solar Amphitheater, is less than a mile south on Biscayne Boulevard. Since your night may end after sunrise, rideshare is the easy call for most people, and it saves you from paying for a garage by the hour.
Good to know
A night built to last until morning builds slowly, so there is no prize for being first through the door. Age rules and set times change from night to night, so read the event listing and your ticket before you go, and bring a real ID. The Miami page has the rest of the city's calendar.
