The Coliseum of Rock
Hard Rock Live opened in March 1999 at CityWalk, next to what Hard Rock calls the biggest Hard Rock Cafe in the world. The hall goes all in on a Roman look, with heavy columns, archways and a grand entrance, and that is where the Coliseum of Rock nickname comes from. It holds up to 3,000 for a concert. The calendar mixes headlining rock bands, comedians and tribute acts that play classic albums from start to finish.
How the seats work
The layout changes with the booking, so read your ticket closely.
- General admission floor. Some nights the main floor is standing room and the balcony is reserved.
- All reserved. Other nights every seat has a number.
- Gold Circle. Reserved seats fill the main floor and balcony, with standing room around the edge of the floor.
- Balcony tables. These hold up to four people and come with their own cocktail server.
Making a night of it
CityWalk restaurants and bars are steps from the door, which makes dinner before the show easy, though weekend crowds can mean a wait. Doors, bag rules and age limits vary by show, so check your ticket for the night.
For the Disney side of town, see House of Blues Orlando at Disney Springs. The rest of the area's dates are on the Orlando page, and you can follow touring bands on the rock calendar.
