Al Poliak played this room back when it was a bar called Bar 303. When the space came open, he took it over, and the Funky Biscuit opened in Royal Palm Place in July 2011. Apart from a short COVID shutdown in 2020, he has kept the music going ever since.

Blues first
The club built its name on touring blues acts, then widened into funk, jazz fusion, smooth jazz, roots music and tribute bands. The list of people who have played here runs from Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks and Oteil Burbridge to Leon Russell, Johnny Winter, Tab Benoit, David Bromberg, Larry Carlton and Billy Cobham. Allman Brothers fans will feel at home, and tribute bands like Trouble No More have brought that catalog back to this stage. Find more jazz and blues shows around Florida.
Drum fans should watch the calendar too. Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers and Simon Phillips have all played the room, and jazz fusion guitarists like Wayne Krantz and Oz Noy have come through as well.
The room
The Funky Biscuit is a restaurant and a music room in one, with a full dinner menu, craft beer, wine and cocktails. It is small. In its early years Poliak put seating at about 120, and the stage is roomy for a club this size. A general admission ticket means standing room, and seats depend on the show, so read the listing before you go. Age rules change from night to night as well.
Parking at Royal Palm Place
The club is at 303 SE Mizner Boulevard. Customer lots wrap the north, west and south sides of the Royal Palm Place building, and a public garage sits at the northwest corner of SE 1st Street and SE 1st Avenue. Downtown Boca is easy to walk once you are parked, so it is simple to eat somewhere else first if you would rather.
Good to know
Door and show times vary by night, so read your ticket. For a big outdoor night in south county, Sunset Cove Amphitheater is a short drive west, and the West Palm Beach listings cover the rest of the county.
